Product Information

High performance sealed and maintenance free operation batteries to provide secondary power supply to equipment. (Note: 2 x batteries required for a 24VDC system).

The Hybrid AGM technologically advanced battery was developed around 2015 and is superior to the standard AGM battery for the following reasons:

  • The electrolyte in the Hybrid AGM battery is half gel and half liquid, rather than full liquid as it is in an AGM battery – this has the benefit of less corrosion to the AGM glass plates in the battery, providing more protection to the plates. This also results in less water loss within the battery, extending the service life of the battery.
  • The electrolyte in an AGM battery tends to be stratified under gravitation influence later in its service life, whereas the electrolyte in the Hybrid AGM battery is more stable and protects the electrolyte from stratification.
  • The gel materials in the Hybrid AGM battery have better resistance to extreme ambient temperature (high or low), which also extends the service life of the battery.

The combined factors of the 3 points above can extend the cycle life of the Hybrid AGM battery by up to approximately 30%. The Hybrid AGM battery significantly improves the performance of the battery and makes it the perfect choice of battery for sprinkler pumpsets where AGM batteries are required.
