How Stat-X Works

The Stat-X generator is activated by one of the following methods based on the generator selected for the application.

  1. Electrically with a fixed fire suppression system including detection and alarm
  2. Manually with a pull cable
  3. Thermally with our patented heat sensitive thermal head available in three (3) temperatures

Upon activation the generator will discharge an ultra-fine aerosol that stays suspended in the enclosure, the fire will be suppressed or extinguished based on the aerosol concentration level in the design.

How Stat-X Agent Suppresses Fires

  1. Stat-X agent and inert gas suspension discharge fills hazard volume (particle size 1-2 micron).
  2. Potassium radicals from Stat-X agent mix with free radicals generated by combustion.
  3. Potassium chemically joins with combustion free radicals, interrupting the fire’s reaction pathway and creating stable molecules.
  4. The interupted fire reaction pathway can no longer sustain combustion and the fire is suppressed.

Aerosol Fire Suppression Technology

How a Stat-X Generator Works
  1. Signal energizes actuator.
  2. Agent compound reacts with oxidation block.
  3. Stat-X agent and inert gas pass through cooling block and out generator exit ports.
  4. Stat-X agent suspension fills hazard area, suppressing fire.

Installations of Stat-X

Stat-X® Fire Suppression Protects Power Generation Room

Stat-X® fire suppression is protecting this power generation room for Lantmäteriet located in Gävle, Sweden. Lantmäteriet, the Swedish mapping, cadastral, and land registration authority, is a government agency in Sweden that provides information on Swedish geography and property.

Our local distributor partner designed and installed this Stat-X electrical activated system consisting of a model 1500E generator.

Back-up, emergency, or standby power generation is among the top infrastructure topics for businesses. Keeping the electrical power flowing is critical to companies.

Power Distribution Protected by Stat-X® Fire Suppression

Stat-X® electrical generators are protecting enclosed electrical cells and the main room in this electrical distribution application for POGO Gold Mines in Alaska. A familiar gas product was also being considered for the project, however, Stat-X was the chosen solution due to limited space and room integrity.

Stat-X® Fire Suppression Protects Power Generation Room

Stat-X® fire suppression systems are protecting many wind turbine generators for a large energy company. The wind turbines are located in Ontario, Canada. Our smaller thermally activated units are shown here installed in the electrical/electronic control cabinets in the nacelle and the down tower. One appropriately sized generator per cabinet.

Stat-X fire suppression systems with thermal activation are stand-alone units. Their own patented detection mechanism is incorporated, eliminating the need for separate detection, and releasing controls. These units are suitable for a broad range of applications in smaller enclosures. They are available in sizes ranging from 30 grams up to 1,000 grams.
