Public transit coaches, city buses, para-transit, special needs buses, and school buses operate daily in harsh environments that included excessive vibration and high and low temperature ranges. Due to tight budgets constraints these mobile transport units tend to be behind on regularly scheduled maintenance. A fire inside the engine compartment can cause extensive damage and excessive downtime, therefore immediate detection and suppression is critical to limit the potential for loss assets, revenue and most importantly provide protection to passengers.

Stat-X® fire suppression protects critical zones to ensure passengers and equipment remain safe. Our systems can be installed directly inside the engine compartment, close to the high-risk area. Installations can be arranged by the bus manufacturer (OEM) or the operator can easily retrofit their fleet after one of our distributor partners completes the design and installation plan. This 24/7 automatic system reduces the risk as the fire can happen at any time including while parked post operation or during on-road transit. Once a fire is detected, the fire is quickly suppressed minimizing damage and disruption. Unlike dry chemical systems that leave substantial amounts of heavy dry chemical residue which can take a bus out of service for extended periods of time, Stat-X aerosol quickly vents out after discharge, leaving minimal light residue allowing the bus to be back in service quickly.
